Antonio Pineda – Program Coordinator
Antonio
Pineda holds a M.A. in International Relations
and International Economics from the School
of Advanced International Studies-Johns
Hopkins University, a Diploma in Foreign
Affairs from the Bologna Center SAIS-JHU,
a Diploma in Trade Policy, concentrating
mainly in the NAFTA Agreement from Universidad
Iberoamericana and a B.A. in International
Relations from Universidad de las Américas-Puebla.
Before assuming his duties full time at
the CLC Secretariat in May 2006, Antonio
Pineda held a series of governmental posts
based in Mexico City . They include Director
of International Affairs at the Mexican
Senate, Sub-director at the Ministry of
Economy dealing with automobile industry,
the WTO and APEC issues, amongst others.
Antonio interned at the World Trade Organization
headquarters in Geneva in the Market Access
Division and in the commercial office of
the Mexican Embassy in Rome . On the academic
front, he spent the last five years as a
part-time lecturer at Universidad de las
Américas AC in Mexico City where
we taught International Finance, New Actors
in the International Relations and Comparative
Economic Development. Antonio is fluent
in the English, Spanish, French and Italian
languages.
