Dr. Salvador Malo
IMCO
Salvador Malo earned his PhD in Physics at the Imperial College (London) and has experience in research, teaching, university management and governmental administration, as well as in quality assessment of higher education. For over thirty years, he has been involved in the practice and study of all the above, playing leading roles, lecturing and publishing in Mexico and abroad. Before joining IMCO as a Research Director he was the Director-General of CENEVAL, Mexico's National Centre for the Assessment of Higher Education, promoted the application of admission exams in higher education in the entire country.
Previously, he acted as General Secretary, Administrative Secretary and Secretary of Planning at the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México); he was also the General Director of Scientific Research and Academics at the SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública); and previously he was the Research Sub Director General at the Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo.
Besides his research work in physics, Dr. Malo has published numerous essays and chapter in books, magazines and journals and has dictated multiple conferences about the development of education, research and technology in Mexico.
